After 30+ hours of travel from Detroit → Chicago → Hong Kong → Manila, we spent our first week exploring a completely different side of the Philippines.

From the crowded streets of Divisoria, trying ₱5 ice candy, walking through local markets, exploring Binondo Chinatown (the oldest Chinatown in the world), and trying Filipino and Chinese street food… this was definitely a culture shock in the best way possible 😂
Most tourists only see places like BGC, but I really wanted to show my cousin the local side of Manila and experience the chaos, energy, food, and culture that make this city so unique.
